Almond Milk

Almonds Ingredients: 1 cup raw almonds
3 cups drinking water
fruits (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add the almonds and 1 cup of drinking water to a blender.
  2. Puree for 2-4 minutes, depending on the blender power.
  3. Add in the remaining 2 cups of water.
  4. If you are making a fruit smoothie, add the fruits in at this time.
  5. Puree for an additional 1-2 minutes.

For smoother tasting almond milk, drain the liquid puree using a cheesecloth.

For walnut milk, peanut milk, etc., follow these same instructions. For soy milk, soak the soybeans in water for at least 2 hours before proceeding on to Steps 1-5. After Step 5, bring the soy milk to a boil on the stove, then simmer for 5 minutes.
